What is cowpoke and how much does it cost?

This activity will take place during the weeks of Junior Camp 1-6 and Teen Camp 1. It will be for kids 10 years or older to learn and interact more with horses. There will be 2 morning sessions consisting of 10 kids. Space is limited to only 20 campers per week. There will be an added cost of $35 per camp for this activity.

What time is check-in and check-out?

Summer Camps:
Check-in is between 2:00 - 4:30 pm on Sunday.
Departure is on Saturday morning's between 8-10am (unless otherwise noted).

Family Camps:
Check-in is on Friday evening (anytime after 6 pm). No meal is served on Friday. Departure is after lunch on Monday for Memorial Day and Labor Day family camp and after lunch on Sunday for all other weekend camps.

What should I bring?

A Camper should bring the following items:

•Bible
•Notebook & Pen
•Modest Clothing (Ex. No spaghetti straps, halter tops, or short shorts)
•Durable shoes
•Swimsuit (girls – one-piece only)
•Sleeping bag or twin sheets
•Pillow
•Toiletries
•Towels

A Camper might want to bring the following:

    •River shoes
    •Fishing pole
    •Flashlight
    •Jeans (when riding horses)

A Camper should not bring the following items:

Radios, CD Players, MP3 Players, or Ipods
Skateboards, Fireworks, Pets,
Cell phones, Firearms, Knives
Alcohol, Cigarettes or Drugs

Spending Money:
Campers may purchase soft drinks and snacks at the Chuckwagon as well as we have THRBC t-shirts and hats for sale at the office. There will also be a weekly DVD sold for $10.For convenience and safety, money cards are available to campers at registration.Note: Turkey Hill Ranch Bible Camp is not responsible for lost money.

Are meals included with the camp registration fee?

Yes, all meals are included. For the Week long camps the first meal served is dinner on Sunday. The last meal served is breakfast on Saturday.
Family weekend camps the first meal served is Breakfast on Saturday and the last meal served is lunch on Monday.

• Do I need to bring my own bedding?

Yes, please bring your own bedding. This is another way we keep the camp fees so low. Toilet Paper will be provided in each room, but all other toiletries will need to be brought.

What are THRBC Medical Care Guidelines?

THRBC Medical Care Guidelines

All medications, including over-the-counter (non-prescription) medications, will be turned in to the nurse, and she will supervise their administration.

Turkey Hill Ranch Bible Camp has a nurse’s office stocked with over-the-counter as well as some prescription medications that an on-site RN dispenses under the direction of an on-call physician. Any time a camper/staffer under the age of 18 requires medical care beyond what can be provided by the nurse’s office, the parent/guardian will be contacted for notification, consent, and the gathering of the camper’s/staffer’s medical insurance information.

• How many people from a family can fit in a room?

In Oak Lodge, each room has one double bed and one bunk bed set. The Bunk House has 10 rooms that have 6 bunk beds (12 people). In some cases a large family is placed in a Bunk House room. Cedar Lodge has various configurations of bunk beds that various size families can be placed in. The registrar will assign the best fit room based on the number of people and what is available when the application is received.
